Job Responsibilities
1. Patient movement to appointments ensuring their dignity and safety is maintained at all times.
2. Check, monitor gas pressures and contents, record, order medical gases according to correct Trust procedures, and report any defects to Facilities Supervisor.
3. Undertake driving duties, stores deliveries, and equipment removals.
4. Receive goods and make deliveries - coordinate all deliveries to ensure the best use of resources.
5. Responsible for waste management on site, including collection and storage of waste from various locations.
6. Timely transportation of post, parcels, and medical records to designated points.
7. Assist with the removal of curtains as part of the curtain change programme.
8. Regularly transport bagged dirty linen from all areas to the appropriate collection area.
9. Complete property inspections, check for damage, and rectify basic faults (e.g., replace ceiling tiles, unblock toilets). Report results using the Estates Fault Reporting portal.
10. Conduct basic Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), such as emergency lighting, fire alarm testing, fire door checks, and PAT testing for patient property.
11. Clean equipment, for example, wheelchairs and trolleys; this list is not exhaustive.
12. Regularly clean and tidy building entrances and grounds, undertaking grounds maintenance as required.
