About Vivedia
We are Vivedia, the UK’s market leader in audio-visual services for "once-in-a-lifetime" events like weddings, funerals, and citizenship ceremonies. Every year, our technology helps over 300,000 families celebrate and honour life’s biggest moments.
We don’t do corporate jargon. We are Dependable, Friendly, and Simple. We’re looking for engineers who are professional but human, who put the customer first, and who want to work for a company that is officially one of the "Best Companies" to work for in the UK.
The Role
At Vivedia, we believe in creating meaningful moments, which means our AV systems must be reliable and delivered with care. As one of our AV Engineers, you’ll be the hands-on face of our technical delivery.
While this role is centered around our Sheffield hub, we are rapidly growing. We are looking for engineers to join our Sheffield team, but we also have roles available for brilliant people based in the North West, Midlands, and London.
This is a field-based role. You’ll be comfortable travelling across your designated area, with the flexibility to stay away from home (usually 1–4 nights per week) depending on the project. In return, we provide a fully equipped company van and cover all your expenses.
What you’ll be doing (Responsibilities)
* Deliver Excellence: Lead on-site installations, from 1st fix through to final commissioning, ensuring everything is "right first time."
* Problem Solve: Use your "Smart" mindset to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert-level support on-site.
* Lead & Mentor: Help grow our engineering team by mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
* Collaborate: Work closely with our Engineering Managers and Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Quality Control: Oversee off-site prefabrication and ensure all work complies with industry standards and Health & Safety.
What you’ll bring (Requirements)
* Experience: Extensive hands-on experience in the AV industry (video distribution, networking, audio processing, and projection).
* Technical Chops: A proven track record of taking a project from the initial cables to the final hand-over.
* Communication: The ability to talk to customers and stakeholders in plain English—no fluff, just clear communication.
* Adaptability: A willingness to travel UK-wide and stay overnight when the project requires it.
* The Essentials: A full UK driving license and a desire to take true ownership of your work.
* Bonus Points: Industry certifications (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I) or experience with AutoCAD/SketchUp are a big plus!
Why Join Us?
* Growth: We offer real career progression and a dedicated learning & development budget.
* The Gear: A company van and all the tech/equipment you need to do a great job.
* The Vibe: A supportive, inclusive environment with regular team-building events and company socials.
* The Perks: Competitive salary, flexible working hours, parental leave, and (at our HQ) all the free tea, coffee, and fruit you can handle.
