Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced Assessment & Engagement Worker to work with service users and multi-agency team members in an essential liaison role. This full-time, permanent position will focus on drawing in local community assets to support the delivery of recovery-focused outcomes, promoting and creating opportunities in visible recovery, harm reduction and brief interventions in the hub reception areas.
Responsibilities
* Work as an integral part of the service in delivering high quality interventions within the hub.
* Work with and support the Inclusion multi-disciplinary team.
* Facilitate harm reduction interventions.
* Support service users who are attending the reception area of the service.
* Contribute to service users working collaboratively to build their recovery capital and ensure positive recovery outcomes.
* Ensure service users have scheduled appointments and remove barriers to attendance.
* Supervise recovery supporter volunteers.
* Promote visible recovery in the hub, especially in reception areas.
* Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and the wider community.
* Ensure your work is evidence-based, up to date and in accordance with current policy and legislation.
* Ensure the reception environment is welcoming and accessible.

Qualifications
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Willingness to undertake NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
Experience and Knowledge
* Understanding and awareness of the effects of substance misuse on individuals and the community
* Experience with CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals
