Anexciting and rare opportunity has arisen to recruit a Sister/Charge Nurse toour Acute Stroke unit and care of the elderly ward. We are looking for anenthusiastic experienced registered nurse to join our friendly team.
We are a 28bedded unit split between joint specialities of acute stroke and care of theelderly. We work closely with the multi disciplinary team comprising of SALT,neuro and medical physios and occupational therapists and dietetics.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate has the responsibility take a lead role in theco-ordination, planning and delivery of individual care provided by themultidisciplinary team on the ward by ensuring the effective management of theward in the absence of the lead nurse.
The post holder will have responsibility for the assessment of careneeds and the planning development, implementation and evaluation of programsof care so that adjustments can be made within their sphere of responsibility.
The post holder will take a lead role in promoting clinical excellencethrough their practice, participating in evidence based practice.
The post holder will ensure that all nursing documentation is complete,up to date and in line with NMC and Trust guidelines.
The post holder is expected to take a lead role in facilitating,educate, supervising, supporting and developing both qualified and unqualifiedstaff, within their sphere of responsibility on a daily basis.
