Senior Mental Health Practitioner
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to support young people and their families in the Oxfordshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) teams.
About the role
The role focuses on assessment and treatment of children and young people (CYP) within the Getting Help and Getting More help teams. You will work across multiple sites (Banbury, Oxford, Bicester, Abingdon, Witney) using a mix of face‑to‑face and remote working. The position is for one year and does not involve duty rota.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver mental‑health and risk assessments for CYP within CAMHS.
* Collaborate with CYP families and other agencies to develop evidence‑based, holistic care plans.
* Maintain a clinical caseload, providing evidence‑based therapies and working with multidisciplinary teams.
* Provide documentation and review of care plans, ensuring appropriate risk management.
* Participate in supervision and training as required.
Key qualifications & experience
* Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist.
* Experience in assessment and therapy for children/young people.
* Evidence of working within a multi‑agency or CAMHS setting is desirable.
