Group Finance Controller - Top Management Position

About the Role
We are a forward-thinking group of three companies based near Framlingham, Suffolk, seeking a Group Finance Controller to join our top management team. This senior leadership role reports directly to the Managing Directors and plays a key part in shaping financial strategy, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving sustainable growth across the group.
As a key member of top management, you will oversee all finance operations and provide high-level financial guidance to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Group-Wide Financial Oversight across three companies, maintaining accuracy, transparency, and consistency
* Budget Allocation & Cash Flow Forecasting - Lead planning cycles and maintain healthy financial forecasting
* Management Accounts - Produce accurate monthly accounts and provide insightful financial analysis
* Xero Reconciliations - Manage and review all reconciliations, ensuring data integrity
* Payment Processing & Authorisation - Oversee payment schedules, supplier payments, and authorisations
* Financial Strategy & Reporting - Deliver key reports to the Managing Directors and advise on financial performance
* Top-Level Liaison - Work with stakeholders, department heads, and external advisors on all finance matters
* Business Development Input - Play a pivotal role in identifying efficiencies, risk mitigation, and long-term planning
What We’re Looking For
* Experienced financial leader, ideally with a background as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller
* Proficient in Xero and cloud-based financial systems
* Strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset
* Proven experience producing and interpreting management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
* Strategic thinker with the ability to operate at a top management level
* Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA are preferred but not essential if supported by solid experience
