Substance Misuse Programme Facilitator

Reed are recruiting for a Substance Misuse Programme Facilitator for our client based in Hartlepool, where you will play a crucial role in delivering and developing group work programmes for adults within the START Substance Misuse Service. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals undergoing substance misuse treatment by employing evidence-based practices tailored to their needs.
Responsibilities
* Research, design, and prepare subject matter and materials for group sessions.
* Engage in debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitators after group sessions.
* Coordinate holistic care packages for individuals, incorporating diversionary activities and opportunities for employment, training, and education.
* Tailor workshops to meet the specific needs of service users, including topics such as relapse prevention, pain management, anger management, sleep disorders, and relationship management.
* Facilitate group work programmes that address the needs of diverse client groups, including those with dual diagnoses, parents, older clients, and those involved in the criminal justice system.
* Promote and facilitate access to additional resources and services to enhance recovery outcomes.
* Maintain high standards of service delivery, ensuring all activities are in line with current policies and legislation related to safeguarding and confidentiality.
Qualifications
* Experience in designing and facilitating group work programmes within a substance misuse or similar health service setting.
* Strong understanding of the issues affecting individuals with substance misuse problems.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse client groups.
* Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures for vulnerable adults and children.
* Proficiency in maintaining accurate case records and handling confidential information appropriately.
