I am working with a well-known accountancy practice who are looking for a highly organised and proactive Business Support Administrator on a temporary basis. Reporting to the Office Manager, this is a varied rolebining administration, office management, and client support responsibilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding service. You will play a key role in keeping the office running smoothly while supporting operations within a leading accountancy group.

Your new role

In this role, duties and responsibilities will include:

1. Act as the first point of contact for clients, delivering a friendly and professional wee both in person and over the phone.
2. Maintain a clean, organised, and professional office environment
3. Carry out regular health and safety checks to ensure a safe workplace
4. Manage the team inbox, ensuring all queries and tasks are handled promptly.
5. Provide general administrative support for client-facing activities
6. Handle iing calls efficiently and professionally
7. Chase clients for books and records to meet deadlines
8. Scan, file, and maintain documents within CCH and internal systems.
9. Support onboarding of new clients, ensuringpliance and practice standards are met
10. Finalise and distribute accounts and personal tax packs for client approval
11. Assist with credit control queries and debtor management
12. Process invoices, write-offs, and WIP adjustments
13. Apply for HMRC andpanies House authentication codes
14. Manage client payments over the phone and allocate disbursements
15. Reconcile petty cash and process cheque payments
16. Schedule client appointments and manage documentation returns
17. Maintain IT equipment inventory and records
18. Order and manage office supplies and stationery stock
19. Ensure client data and practice systems are accurate and up to date
20. Act as a key contact within the office for regional and business-wide projects
21. Collaborate with other offices to help standardise processes and procedures


What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced administrator who thrives in a professional environment. Ideally, you will have experience in a professional services organisation and will have experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders. You will enjoy working as part of a team and will pride yourself on providing a first-class service.

What you'll get in return

You will get the opportunity to work within a well-established business and part of a team/office of around 20 situated in Birkenhead. You will work full-time on site 5 days a week – Monday to Friday 9AM-5:30PM. The role is initially for 3-6 months and requires an immediate start. You will be paid ££ dependent on experience. This is an excellent opportunity.
