We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Business Segment in Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and
power your potential
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence summer 2026.
Responsibilities
This role is for you if you are

* Seeking opportunities to enhance your skills, knowledge, and future employability
* Wanting to develop team leader/management skills to build solid working relationships.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
* Compiling and distributing Key Performance Indicators.
* Using AI, Minitab and Excel to prepare data.
* Design studies and systems to capture manufacturing data to understand performance.
* Analyze manufacturing data providing key recommendations for improving capacity and efficiency.
* Compile and conduct analysis on departmental budgets
* Completing administration of employee records.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Working towards a degree in Business Management, Data Science, or related disciplines with a desire to build your career within Operations Management. This role may also appeal to Engineering students looking to develop a Manufacturing Operations career.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, knowledge of Power BI and Minitab. Quick to learn IT systems.
* Ability to present data effectively
* Candidates for this role should ideally be seeking a career within Operations Management.
