Our client are a leading Truck HGV supplier and service provider who are looking for a qualified Vehicle Technician to join their established team.
Working closely with the other technician you will join a well established workforce and the company have been recognised as a Top Employer in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Service, repair and maintenance of HGV's
Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on HGVs to identify mechanical issues and safety concerns
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to restore vehicles to optimal condition
Use technical instruments such as ohmmeters to test electrical systems and ensure proper functionality
Replace worn or damaged parts, including brakes, engines, transmissions, and suspension components
Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including service reports and defect logs
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure timely completion of repairs
Attendance on call outs
Liaising closely with the parts department
Completion of jobs records and all associated admin
Liaising with clients
What they are looking for
Fully qualified HGV Driver
Experienced in vehicle maintenance and repair within a commercial or heavy vehicle environment
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Team Player
Flexible on hours and willing to carry out overtime
What the Company offer - to include
Working Hours 4 days on/off - Shifts between 7 am and 7pm
Overtime rate at 1.5
