3. Manage and expand the company's global patent portfolio by drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications.
4. Provide strategic legal advice across all areas of intellectual property, including patents, technical data, trade secrets, licenses, copyrights, and trademarks.
5. Develop and implement patent strategies that safeguard the company's interests, strengthen competitive positioning, and minimize potential exposure.
6. Monitor changes in patent laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance and to support informed strategic decision‑making.
7. Oversee and support patent‑related disputes and litigation, coordinating closely with external legal counsel to ensure effective enforcement and defense.
8. Partner with product, design, engineering, and marketing teams to provide practical IP guidance, while fostering a culture of innovation and strong IP awareness across the organization.
The Successful Applicant
An ideal candidate should have:
9. Strong understanding of patent laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
10. LLB and a Qualification in patents would be a huge advantage.
