Overview

We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, a desire to learn and passion to develop and improve. Previous outpatient experience is welcome, but 6-12 months experience from within an acute setting in the NHS is necessary, with a care certificate issued by the Trust being a requirement. This is a full-time post (Monday - Friday).

Informal visits to the department are welcome so you can come and meet us and see the way that care is delivered. Full training and support will be given. Please contact Sister Liz Cosnahan to arrange a visit or call 01932 722048.

Working as a Healthcare Support Worker in an Outpatient environment within the hospital setting.

Carry out assigned tasks involved with patient care as delegated by the Charge Nurse/Sister whilst maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients.

To assist in the provision of high-quality fundamental care to patients whilst supporting the clinicians in the smooth running of clinics.

This will be whilst demonstrating excellent care, compassion and communication and to be guided by the trusts values and policies.

Responsibilities

* Carry out assigned tasks involved with patient care as delegated by the Charge Nurse/Sister while maintaining patient privacy and dignity.
* Support the clinicians in the smooth running of clinics in an outpatient hospital setting.
* Demonstrate care, compassion and effective communication in line with the Trust’s values and policies.


Qualifications

* 6–12 months experience from within an acute NHS setting, with a care certificate issued by the Trust requirement.
* Excellent communication skills and a desire to learn and develop.
* Outpatient experience is welcome but not required beyond the NHS acute setting requirement.
