We're looking for driven and passionate Senior Digital Project Managers who can lead the delivery of multiple digital projects which have significant business impact. Our Digital Project Managers use a range of skills and methodologies, managing multi-functional delivery teams to deliver change, maintain our core applications and deliver new services that support the lives of millions of people. Job Description: Key Responsibilities You'll be an experienced Senior Digital Project Manager, who will lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale complex digital change. You'll lead the team to ensure project controls are in place, managing plans, risks, issues and dependencies to effective resolution. You'll lead the team in ensuring you manage appropriate governance and reporting to Digital Directors, communicating and taking ownership of resolving complex issues while influencing decisions that require board level approval. You'll manage a varied stakeholder environment, setting the pace for delivery and working with internal teams and/or external suppliers to deliver successfully. You'll manage team dynamics, coaching teams to improve flow, quality and ownership throughout the team. Dealing with conflict and help establish a positive team culture. You'll take responsibility for your own learning and development, especially in project management practice, digital frameworks and technologies in an increasingly agile environment, alongside coaching and mentoring your team and the wider delivery community to establish standards for processes and tools. The vacant posts are in two two teams: Our Working Age Services (WAS) team leads innovation and change across the Department, delivering user-focused solutions and key welfare reforms to claimants, landlords, and DWP agents. With 30 multi-functional teams across London, Leeds, and Manchester, and Product Support in Newcastle, WAS plays a vital role in national transformation programmes. There are opportunities available in our integration, engineering platforms and accessibility specialist teams. Our DWP Infrastructure Services (Networks) team is responsible for managing a range of Network Services and Products. Working in collaboration with a range of internal and external partners, stakeholders and customers we ensure the operational stability, availability and quality of DWP Networks. This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business need but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be taken into account. Salary Information Pay for this role is from £55,557 to £66,058. Our offer to successful candidates will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience as demonstrated at interview. This statement should be used to provide examples of how you meet the essential criteria below: An experienced project manager with demonstrable history of taking full responsibility, for the definition, documentation and successful completion of a number of large-scale complex projects, utilising both internal and external suppliers. Ensures that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained, responding to what the data is telling them appropriately. Experience of managing complex external dependencies that have required significant planning and prioritising in order to ensure pace and quality of delivery is maintained Communicate with others in a clear, honest and enthusiastic way in order to build trust. Explain complex issues in a way that is easy to understand and influence Senior level decision making. Experience in identifying appropriate development for both themselves and their team to improve the delivery. 4. Technical statement (up to 250 words). The following statement is aligned to the required technical skill of Project Management. Demonstrate your experience as a Project Manager who takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of a number of large-scale complex projects, utilising both internal and external suppliers. The sift panel will use the information in your employment history, personal statement, and technical statement to assess your experience, skills and knowledge.
