Regional HGV HIAB & Tanker Driver (Modular Cabins) - North East - E5072
Location: Wakefield | Contract Type: Permanent | Reference: UK03480
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 guaranteed hours per week.
Salary: £17.04 per hour, overtime paid at time and a half.
This role involves working predominantly within one of our six regions, covering vacancies, holiday, and training for our branch lorry loader and tanker drivers. It requires nights away and weekend travel depending on appointments.
Requirements: Lorry loading or HIAB experience, ALLMI D1+E or CPCS certification.
Purpose
As a Logistics Relief Driver, you will ensure our fleet maintains full utilization, transporting modular structures, temporary storage, and accommodation units using our fleet of over 70 lorry loader cranes. You will also work within our Tanker team servicing customer welfare requirements.

Your Responsibilities
Health & Safety

* Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts transparently.
Team Responsibilities
* Deliver products on time, in full, and report issues promptly.
* Follow planned routes and optimize loading/unloading times.
* Handle abnormal loads as required.
* Operate lorry loader cranes in various environments.
* Work within the Tanker team on customer service calls.
* Perform safety checks on vehicles and equipment, reporting issues immediately.
* Comply with EU driving hours and WTD regulations, aiming for zero infringements.
Candidate Requirements
* Valid Class 1 HGV License with DCPC.
* Experience operating lorry loader cranes (31-66 tonnes).
* Experience with wagon and drag combinations.
* Desired but not essential: tanker/waste management experience; training will be provided.
* CPCS and/or ALLMI lorry loader operator qualification.
* Flexible, team-oriented, safety-conscious, customer-focused, and adaptable to travel and schedule changes.
