Camping World is seeking a Collision/Body Technician (Flat Rate) to join our growing team. A successful Collision/Body Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated, have a background in body/paint repair, and be well-versed in all paint and body repair equipment.
What You’ll Do
1. Provide and document complete diagnostics for repairing recreational vehicle equipment and structures. Determine the best product for repair.
2. Customize and repair RVs in accordance with work orders. Execute work orders.
3. Perform body and paint repair.
4. Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
5. Keep supervisor informed of work progress.
6. Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee.
7. Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
8. Follow safety and hazardous waste procedures as outlined.
9. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need To Have For The Role
1. Certification from college or technical school in a trade field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is helpful, but applicable work experience is also considered.
2. Minimum of 1-year service technician experience or related fields preferred.
3. RVIA certification is helpful but not required.
4. Valid driver's license.
5. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices.
6. Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending.
7. Potential exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment.
8. Environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness.
