About Our Client
The organisation is a growing professional services company based in London and are looking for an Interim Category Manager to join their busy procurement team on a long term interim basis. This role would require you to work in the central London office 3-4 days per week and you would be looking after a range of categories including, marketing, events & communications.
Job Description
As Category Manager, you will be reporting into the Procurement Director. Duties will include, however, not be limited to;
3. Develop and implement category management strategies to support business objectives.
4. Lead end to end procurement activities, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
5. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to achieve value and service excellence.
6. Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with organisational needs.
8. Prepare and present reports on category performance and procurement activities.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Category Manager should have:
9. Be an experienced procurement professional.
10. Strong knowledge of category management principles and procurement processes.
11. Proficiency in supplier negotiation and contract management.
12. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data effectively.
13. Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
