The Role – Software Engineer (Modelling and Simulation)
You will be responsible for developing software for a key MOD project, including coding, simulation tools, and integrating modelling capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop software code
* Conduct unit and system testing
* Create simulation models based on data
* Integrate modelling capabilities into simulation federations
* Extract data from simulation systems
* Collaborate with industry teams on development tasks
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience in Defence Modelling and Simulation, particularly in Air or Maritime domains
* Implementation and development of simulation systems
* Rapid prototyping and concepting skills
* Software integration and federation expertise
* Understanding user requirements and translating them into development tasks
* UK Citizenship (no dual passports)
* Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC)
* UK Drivers Licence
* High ethics and integrity
* Team-oriented, flexible, and self-motivated with a drive for professional growth
Team / Office Base
Reporting to the Capability Systems Programme Manager, based at Bristol or Stokenchurch (High Wycombe). Travel to client sites is expected. The role offers hybrid working with approximately 2 days remote work per week.
