This post is full time, 35 hours per week and is fixed term until July 2025 and may be eligible for extension. It is not suitable for a job-share.
The Web Developer will support the delivery of AI-DOWEP (AI-Enabled Design Optimisation System for Waste Efficient Project) and AI4QS project (Intelligent Learning Solution for Personalized AI Competency Development in Quantity Surveying) hosted within the School of Applied Management at the University of Westminster. These projects aim to drive digital transformation in the construction sector by leveraging AI-driven design optimization and personalized learning solutions. AI-DOWEP focuses on advancing sustainable construction practices by integrating Building Information Modelling (BIM) with AI-powered optimization tools to minimize material waste, providing real-time insights and data-driven recommendations for more efficient construction processes. AI4QS aims to upskill Quantity Surveyors (QS) by delivering a personalized AI competency training system. The web developer will work with the Principal Investigator (Dr Abdullahi Saka) ensuring that the platforms are both user-friendly and technically robust.
This role requires technical skills in web development, attention to data security, and the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet project milestones. By contributing to the technical execution of both platforms, the developer will play a key role in enhancing sustainability in construction (AI-DOWEP) and AI competence development (AI4QS).
