Thanks to continued growth, this company has created a new role within the Sales Department, looking to add an Applications Engineer to their team.

As an Applications Engineer youll specify, cost, tender and win profitable orders for bespoke process filtration solutions, based on the Companys technologies that serve a variety of industries.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Select and size a range of process filtration technology including cartridge, bag and activated carbon filters, coalescers and strainers
2. Conceptually design suitable pressure vessels to suit the selected filtration technology
3. Prepare bespoke cost estimates using historical information combined with sub vendor contractor enquired pricing
4. Prepare techno-commercial tenders in line with customer requirements
5. Resolve technical and commercial queries raised with the tender to reach an agreed position acceptable to all parties
6. Prepare orders for handover to the project execution team, remaining involved initially to provide input to any changes required
7. Provide after sales support to customers addressing any queries or issues with media and hardware performance
8. Research and select suitable subcontractors and suppliers as demanded by project requirements
9. Prepare and deliver presentations on company technology and solutions to customers
10. Travel to customer and supplier sites when required to attend meetings and site visits in person
11. Adherence and compliance to ISO standards and all health & safety requirements
Skills & Experience
Essential
12. A process industry background in either water treatment, pharmaceutical or oil sectors
13. Familiar with a variety of process filtration and separation technologies, comfortable with sizing from first principles
14. Familiar with design and construction principles of pressure vessels, knowledge of PED, ASME VIII, PD: and EN: design codes
15. An understanding of material compatibility and corrosion principles
16. Comprehension of enquiry documentation including process/mechanical datasheets and client specifications
17. Experience in the preparation of tenders and supporting documentation
18. Solid grounding in preparing cost estimates for bespoke fabricated equipment and solutions
19. Ability to communicate and influence effectively with both internal & external partners and stakeholders
20. Confident with Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
21. Personal efficiency, time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands
Desirable
22. Use of Pressure Vessel Design Software (i.e. PV Elite or VVD)
23. Experience of selecting and sizing cartridge filters for liquid and gas applications
