Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and enhance our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the supply chain, ensuring efficient transportation and warehousing processes, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement. This role requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of logistics management principles.Since most of our goods come from China and we need to communicate with Chinese colleagues, it is best for candidates to have Chinese language skills.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise supply chain efficiency.
* Manage category management team processes to ensure cost-effective procurement and distribution.
* Oversee the operation of transportation management systems to facilitate timely deliveries.
* Utilise warehouse management systems to enhance inventory control and accuracy.
* Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for seamless shipping and receiving operations.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations in all materials handling activities.
* Conduct data analysis to identify trends, forecast needs, and improve operational performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
* Maintain effective communication with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Skills
* Proficiency in category management and process improvement methodologies.
* Strong knowledge of transportation management systems and warehouse management systems.
* Experience working with ERP systems, particularly AS400.
* In-depth understanding of logistics principles, including shipping & receiving processes.
* Familiarity with materials handling techniques and forklift operation.
* Excellent data analysis skills for informed decision-making.
* Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, particularly in picking & packing operations.
