We are looking for a Full Time Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team in Ward Park, Cumbernauld.
As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of the day-to-day warehouse operations at the site, ensuring the operation is running smoothly, and supporting the Warehouse Operation Managers with a variety of tasks that add value to the operation.

Salary: £36,500 plus £6,000 night shift allowance
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working pattern: 4o/4o 6.00am to 6.00pm
Location: Ward Park, Cumbernauld, G68 0EF
What you’ll do:
Your key accountabilities will include:
* Own the recruitment and induction process within the warehouse department of new colleagues
* Conduct daily administration tasks related to payroll systems, payroll queries, holidays, etc.
* Drive shift performance to achieve KPIs
* Forward planning of operation and delivery of plan in line with live volumes and resource
* Ensure all requirements relating to safety, health, environment, and quality are being fully implemented in the warehouse or escalate
* Maintain a safe and friendly working environment for all employees, agency, and subcontractors
* Manage direct reports in areas including wellbeing meetings, long-term sick management, return to work, and disciplinaries
* Conduct shift briefings when required
* Collaborate with third-party agencies to ensure appropriate resourcing of operation
* Review plans and system maintenance daily in line with live volumes
* Identify and review training and development needs regularly
* Plan and organize operational, people, and safety meetings
* Investigate and report accidents
* Conduct hazard walks and observations
* Maintain and improve performance levels to maximize efficiency in line with KPIs
Who you are:
Your skills and experience will include:
* Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience of warehouse functions within the FMCG Distribution Industry
* A passion for encouraging teamwork and fostering an innovative culture where employees can share suggestions and ideas
* Excellent team management skills for developing Team Leaders
* An analytical mindset
* Flexibility to cover various shift patterns in the future
* Previous experience working with Trade Unions would be beneficial
