The FOOD AND BEVERAGE OUTLETS ATTENDANT to provide an enjoyable guest service experience at the Lobby Lounge, Bella Vista Terrace and/or Pool & Beach.

The expected base wage range for this position is: $17.50 per hour. This position may be eligible for additional compensation according to the Company’s policies, as they may be amended from time to time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

* To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner, deferring to the Outlets Manager or applicable Supervisor when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
* To extend a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests at all times in order to contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
* To make the Outlets Manager or Supervisors aware of all guest comments and complaints.
* To follow specified procedures to provide prompt, efficient, and gracious customer service to hotel and outside guests.
* To ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring timely and accurate dish delivery to guests.
* To collaborate and efficiently communicate with kitchen staff and servers, emphasizing attention to detail, cleanliness, organization and a sense of urgency, with safety in mind.
* To follow specified procedures to properly set up pool and beach stations and perform side work on a daily basis.
* To ensure the cleanliness and condition of all chairs, towels, guest areas, and work areas while working at the Pool & Beach.
* To act as a host and ensure strict policy regarding usage of the Pool deck by registered guests only, including timing of guests leaving chairs unattended, by using electronic devices provided by Surf and Sand.
* To follow a strict “No glass policy” on the pool deck and to keep the pool and beach areas clear of used dishes, utensils, and towels at all times.
* To lift and carry beach chairs, umbrellas and towels, to set up guests along the beach, and to ensure that guests are provided with quality service.
* Capability to work in heat, sand, and traverse steps up and down to the beach.
* To maintain the proper care and cleanliness of pool and beach equipment to minimize breakage.
* To collaborate effectively with kitchen and staff to ensure timely order preparation and delivery, as well as maintain open lines of communication with coworkers and management.
* To safely transport food and drinks from the kitchen & bar to the appropriate guest, ensuring presentation and temperature standards are met, and promptly addressing any issues or requests.
* To satisfactorily perform, as directed, all routine opening and closing duties as outlined on departmental SOP’s, including napkins, stocking and pre-set up of station to facilitate food service.
* To maintain stock, assist in preparation, and store all plates, napkins, silverware, sides and other necessary items for a successful shift.
* To review and verify previous shift’s inventory at the beginning of every shift and stock/prepare item requisitions for the following shift.
* To maintain the proper care and cleanliness of tableware and serving equipment, handling both to minimize breakage.
* To maintain the organization and cleanliness of area at all times by picking up discarded drinks and trash.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. English fluency required. Must have some experience in food service, and display basic knowledge of foods, service standards, and procedures. Hotel experience preferred. A valid food handlers card must be timely obtained upon hire and maintained in good standing, which time and expense may be compensable. A valid California Responsible Beverage Service certification is required.

Strong verbal communications skills. Courteous, friendly, and professional manner. Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Stands and walks moderate to long distances throughout shift. Constantly required to handle and move objects weighing up to 40 lbs. over moderate to long distances. Bends, stoops, pushes, and lifts to perform routine job tasks. Must be able to work well under pressure. Frequent use of stairs, daily. Fast-paced work environment. Guest facing position that may handle conflict and/or encounter individuals who may be upset and emotional at times.

TRAVEL: This position is not expected to travel for work.

REMOTE WORK: This position is not eligible to work remotely. The candidate must be able to work in-person during normal business hours.
