Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk (Full-Time)
Location: Redditch
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday Friday)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team in Redditch. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in accounts payable to work in a fast-paced, supportive, and friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
* Match, batch, and code invoices to purchase orders
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
* Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs (BACS, CHAPS)
* Handle supplier queries professionally and promptly
* Assist with month-end close processes including accruals and reporting
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions
* Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies
Requirements:
* Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
* Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, SAP)
* Competent in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
* Professional and proactive approach to work
Desirable:
* AAT qualification (or working towards)
* Experience working in a shared service or multi-site environment
* Familiarity with purchase order systems and automated invoice processing
