Theyre looking for a Finance Assistant to join their collaborative central finance team, supporting day-to-day operations across multiple divisions. About the role Youll be a key part of the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions across a number of group entities. The role covers a broad mix of activities from daily bank reconciliations and invoicing to journal postings, payroll support and month-end assistance so no two days will feel the same. Its a great fit for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, getting stuck into the detail, and supporting a finance function that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. A typical week might include: Preparing and completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations. Processing and reconciling petty cash across multiple sites. Monitoring incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring correct coding and allocation. Assisting with cash allocation of receipts from various income streams. Supporting invoicing and billing processes, including reconciliations and payment query investigations. Preparing and posting journals including payroll, accruals, prepayments and intercompany recharges. Supporting the production of monthly management accounts. Assisting with audit preparation and providing documentation as needed. Reconciling payroll journals to reports and bank payments. Liaising with site administrators and managers to ensure timely submission of financial information. Supporting the wider finance team during busy periods and contributing to process improvements. What youll bring to the table: Minimum 1-2 years current experience in a finance or accounts environment. A solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliation processes. Experience preparing or assisting with bank reconciliations and journal postings. Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero or similar). Proficiency in Excel and general IT systems. Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Bonus points for: Experience in a multi-site environment. Understanding of payroll processes and systems. Studying towards or willingness to commence ATI (Accounting Technician) qualification. Why apply?
