Role Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Nursery Assistants to join our team in Cardiff, supporting nurseries across the city and surrounding areas, providing high-quality childcare and education to children in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with daily routines, learning activities, and structured play, contributing to the creation of a collaborative approach to childcare, and supporting the development of children in a professional nursery setting. Our flexible temporary and permanent Early Years childcare roles are ideal for individuals looking for rewarding, varied work in nursery settings, with opportunities to work with diverse age groups and abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children to thrive, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development
Assisting with daily routines, learning activities, and structured play to support children’s development, including planning and implementing activities to support the Early Years curriculum
Building positive relationships with children, nursery staff, and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders
Contributing to the planning and implementation of activities to support the Early Years curriculum, and participating in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills
Required Skills & Experience
Genuine passion for childcare and Early Years education, with a commitment to providing high-quality care and education
Empathy and a proactive, positive attitude towards working with children, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
