Overview
Bladder & Bowel Specialist Service. Are you motivated and committed to providing quality care, enhancing patient care and dignity at the core of our service. Would you like to join a very experienced team in delivering continence care to the residents within South Warwickshire? The team aims to identify the causes for bladder or bowel dysfunction and to cure where possible; where this is not achievable to manage with appropriate treatment options, restoring dignity and independence to the individual.
Responsibilities
* Undertake reassessments of patients in both the patient’s own home and residential care settings.
* Provide health promotion to patients and their carers/relatives whenever possible, helping to prevent early admission into residential care due to poor continence management.
* Work as part of the community Bladder and Bowel Specialist Service to undertake high quality, caring and compassionate personal care and associated duties as delegated by the Bladder and Bowel Nurse Specialist under their direction but not direct supervision of the registered staff.
* Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, compassionate patient care in the patient’s home, residential homes or a clinic room setting.
Qualifications and requirements
* Health and Social Care NVQ3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
* Full driving licence and car owner/driver (essential).
