We are delighted to be recruiting a skilled Events Executive within the Group Sales and Meetings & Events team, responsible for managing and delivering exceptional event experiences across our dining venues, event spaces, and newly refurbished 235 guestrooms and suites.

The Role:
As our Sales and Events Executive for The Caledonian Edinburgh, you will manage and plan successful programs for our clients and guests, including meetings, incentives, and social events. Your focus will be on smooth planning, client satisfaction, and effective communication across hotel departments.
Reporting to the Assistant Group Conference & Events Manager, you and the team will aim to deliver an exceptional guest experience aligned with our core values of care, connection, and curation.
Typical Weekly Responsibilities:
* Receive event handovers from the Sales team, communicate with clients, and guide them through the event management process.
* Coordinate client needs, event schedules, menu selections, and inclusions with hotel departments.
* Handle inquiries for small meetings, social events, weddings, and dinners, converting inquiries into successful events.
* Identify opportunities to upsell and enhance guest satisfaction.
* Ensure effective planning and billing procedures to maximize guest satisfaction.
* Manage key accounts and organize annual events.
* Build strong relationships with new and repeat clients.
* Participate in hotel promotional activities.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
* Produce detailed Banqueting Events Orders for all departments.
* Attend meetings to discuss event specifics and planning.
Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience in an events role.
* Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
* Positive attitude with strong communication skills.
* Confident in numerical reporting and data analysis.
* Knowledge of hotel systems; experience with OnQ and Delphi platforms is preferred.
* Creative in developing event program ideas.
* High grooming standards.
* Attention to detail.
* Resilient and capable of performing under pressure.
* Additional advantageous qualities include knowledge of property management systems and relevant qualifications or certifications.
