The Product Sales Specialist ensures clients receive expert advice, rapid response, and confidence in every proposal – positioning PPS Ltd as the go-to partner for engineered equipment sales.
Purpose:
To be the front-line technical-commercial interface for PPS’s product portfolio, offering tailored sales support, product specification, and consultative selling. The Product Sales Specialist is responsible for delivering value-added quotations, managing the pre-order process, and enhancing client satisfaction through responsive, knowledgeable engagement.

* Understand customer requirements and apply product knowledge to recommend optimal solutions across PPS’s product range.
* Quote & Order Management
* Create high-quality quotations with accurate technical and commercial detail, supporting the sales team with timely and compelling offers.
* Customer Relationship Building
* Build trust with key accounts through clear communication, consistent follow-up, and product expertise – driving repeat business and sales conversion.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND AUTHORITY
Activities (Doing):
* Manage incoming sales enquiries from consultants, contractors, and end-users.
* Create new business opportunities via outgoing emails & calls.
* Interpret specifications and select suitable PPS products and systems.
* Prepare and issue quotes, technical datasheets, and supporting documentation.
* Assist clients in navigating product options, compliance requirements, and compatibility.
* Track proposals and follow up to close deals, log updates in the CRM system.
* Coordinate with internal teams for stock availability, delivery timelines, and non-standard item reviews.
* Represent the company at client meetings, trade shows, and CPD sessions as required.

* Product support queries after sale
* Technical operations coordination
* Service-related issue resolution
Delegation Focus:
* Focus your energy on engaging clients, crafting tailored quotes, and delivering fast, accurate information that wins business.
Decision Making / Management (Authority):
* Authority to specify standard products and price within margin thresholds.
* Recommend upsell options and value additions based on client needs.
* Escalate major pricing deviations or lead time challenges to Sales Manager.
* Approve quote timelines and prioritization in consultation with the sales team.
Performance Measurement (What 100% Success Looks Like):
Sales KPIs:
* Quote-to-Order Conversion: >45% on qualified leads
* Quote Timeliness: >95% of quotes issued within 48 hours for standard systems
* Proposal Accuracy: 90% of quotes followed up within 5 working days
* CRM Compliance: 100% use of CRM to log and manage opportunities
* Make a minimum of 20 outgoing calls per day or 100 per week.

* Deliver fast, accurate, and high-conversion quotes.
* Build strong rapport with clients through responsiveness and expertise.
* Understand and promote the value of PPS’s product range effectively.
* Support sales team goals through professional and proactive engagement.

* Commissioning, servicing, or on-site troubleshooting
* Strategic pricing decisions for framework or major accounts
* Warehouse, logistics, or stock management
* Handling product warranty claims or service complaints
Other Factors:
* Background in technical sales, building services, or engineering products is preferred.
* Must be confident working with specifications, basic CAD or schematics.
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
* Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Occasional travel to client offices or industry events may be required.
