Job Opening: Multi-skilled Engineers
Roxel has a requirement for 2 permanent Multi-skilled Engineers at its Summerfield, Kidderminster location. The role involves using both mechanical and electrical engineering skills to maintain and enhance the performance of plant and equipment. The engineers will provide first-class, flexible support to production requirements and factory services through fault-finding/diagnostics, planned preventative maintenance practices, and electrical/mechanical installation.
Responsibilities
1. Comply with all statutory Safety, Health, and Environment requirements.
2. Ensure accurate & timely records of all work, root causes of failures, and spares/consumables used.
3. Accurately log maintenance engineering downtime, monitor repair times, and find new methods to reduce downtime.
4. Work as part of the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient production performance.
5. Perform detailed preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per schedules.
6. Diagnose and rectify faults on all plant and equipment.
7. Identify root causes of asset faults, improve asset performance, and reliability.
8. Provide a fast response to plant breakdowns while adhering to company procedures and standards.
9. Train new apprentices in maintenance discipline.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
Essential
* Recognised electrical and mechanical qualifications.
* Time-served Mechatronics apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
* Proven maintenance engineering professional with high standards of electrical and mechanical understanding.
* Expertise in fault diagnosis, rectification processes, and maintenance activities.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
* Experience with Microsoft Office and CMMS.
Desirable
* Knowledge of health and safety processes.
* Understanding of Quality Operating Systems procedures.
* Knowledge of environmental controls and practices.
* 18th Edition BS7671 certificated.
* 2391/52 inspection and testing qualified.
* PLC programming and fault-finding skills.
