Key Responsibilities
1. Develop highly effective supplier relationships and innovative supply chains to meet quality, cost and on time delivery requirements, as well as developing new suppliers as required to meet stated objectives and mitigate risk to the company.
2. Issue enquiries and obtain competitive quotations for goods and services and evaluate in terms of quality, cost and delivery requirements.
3. Negotiate prices and conditions which ensure lowest cost of ownership to the business.
4. Carry out supplier management by means of vendor appraisal/assessment and regular performance reviews in order to exploit opportunities and manage risk.
5. Raise and resolve supplier non-conformances as appropriate.
6. Resolve disputes and claims with suppliers in terms of invoicing queries.
7. Input and support the development of processes and procedures in response to business growth, cost initiatives, lessons learned and the continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Adhere to new and existing processes and procedures for the procurement of goods and services.
9. Provide data to support the reporting of key performance indicators to the business.
10. Maintain effective communication with key internal stakeholders.
11. Challenge non-compliance against processes and focus on delivering continuous improvement.
