Role Summary
The successful person will be working with the Inspection/Weld team giving administrative support to the salvage / rework operations.
The role involves finishing castings within the Weld Bay using finishing process and equipment. Good IT skills are required for administrative tasks and process booking.
The employee will willingly undertake, upon request, any other task they are able to perform. Elements of the role may vary as new technology, procedures and equipment are introduced.
Key Responsibilities
* TIG/MIG Welding Experience
* Removal of defects using air tools
* Raising salvage paperwork
* Keeping accurate records of reworked castings
* Updating information on the business management APP
* Visual Inspection
* Liaise with quality, engineering and production on problem solving
* General admin duties within the inspection department
* Liaise with Quality and help generate concession applications.
* Identifying and removing imperfections from castings
* Using calibrated measuring equipment
* General and visual inspection
* Reading and understanding specifications and standards
* General and cosmetic tidy up of castings using air powered and electric tools.
* General duties within the Finishing Department.
* Using IT applications as necessary for the role
Person Specification
* Excellent attendance and time keeping.
* A willingness to learn new skills.
* Dedicated and motivated individual.
* A loyal and likeable character who shows honesty and integrity.
* You must be flexible in your approach to working hours, as from time to time you may be required to work shifts which may include night shifts.
Qualifications
* Ideally you will be educated to a good high school standard
* Previous experience welding (Required)
* Experience within a manufacturing background would be highly preferred.
* Excellent written skills – clear handwriting with a high standard of English
* Excellent numerical skills
* Clear Communication Skills
Package on offer:
Salary: £ £15.30 Depending on experience
Pension: 5% min personal contribution, Company contribution of 3%
Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 BH (Pro-rata)
Life Insurance: 2 x annual salary Death in Service
