Job Title: Import/Export Logistics Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import/Export Logistics Coordinator to join our supply chain team. You will manage the logistics of importing and exporting goods, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with international trade regulations, including Incoterms, tariffs, duties, and trade agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with global suppliers to ensure efficient, cost-effective movement of goods, optimising logistics processes and reducing transportation costs.
Coordinate and monitor all outbound and inbound shipments, working closely with forwarding agents to ensure timely dispatch and receipt.
Prepare, review, and verify all shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and country-specific import/export requirements.
Measure, record, and reconcile freight costs, working with the finance team to ensure accurate accounting.
Maintain and update logistics policies, procedures, and country-specific duty and commodity code records.
Address and resolve customer service issues related to deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Monitor and report on logistics performance, analysing key metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding logistics matters.
Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional communication and alignment with organisational goals.
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in import/export and logistics.
Experience with freight management, tracking systems, ERP, purchase systems, and preferably SAGE.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting.
Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, compliance requirements, and Incoterms.
Familiarity with duties, commodity codes, bills of lading, and raising invoices.
Experience with sea and air shipments.
Confident in working with international suppliers and customers.
Detail-oriented, results-driven, and able to work efficiently within a team.
Flexible and open to multi-skilling in a collaborative environment.

Team & Reporting
Part of a supply chain team of 4+, reporting to the Supply Chain Team Leader.
