Care Assistant – Nights at Greenholme House Care Home, Ilkley.
About the Role
Your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care and support residents, ensuring continuity of services and contributing fully to the care team.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with all aspects of personal hygiene care, maintaining optimum independence, dignity, and respect.
* Recognise and understand clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, and signs of infections, and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
* Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated initiative and respect towards residents and others in the home.
* Efficient worker able to carry reasonable instructions from team members.
* Adaptable and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.
Essential Requirements
* DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
