Job Description:
Our client, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and hire of lifting, pulling, and deploying solutions, is recruiting for a Project Engineer to join their team in Turriff, Aberdeenshire.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the day to day delivery of small/medium scale projects across Manufacturing, Service, and Hire.
2. Prioritize assigned projects and ensure on-time delivery, engaging with all relevant stakeholders to meet project deliverables.
3. Work in conjunction with Project Admin to Prepare and Maintain Project Documentation Register (SDRL’s).
4. Work with Project Cost Accountant to collate and maintain Project Invoice Schedule, ensuring invoicing and forecasting align with project schedule.
5. Support Accounts Payable to ensure timely payment.
6. Manage projects to ensure key milestones are met and be aware of commercial implications within contracts.
7. Ensure regular interface with clients/suppliers/key stakeholders to satisfy project requirements.
8. Provide technical support to offshore personnel when required and engage key parties for support.
9. Provide regular reports to stakeholders on project progress and prepare project cost sheets for monthly presentation.
10. Raise requisitions for project materials, site personnel, and equipment.
11. Responsible for specification, issue, and return of all equipment and materials, including transportation requirements.
12. Manage modification/manufacture of equipment for projects using Service Requests.
13. Arrange and witness client FAT equipment testing as required.
14. Create offshore information packs/procedures and conduct project briefings and debriefings.
15. Prepare documentation for equipment loadout and shipping.
16. Create and maintain the project plan/tracker and ensure clear communication.
17. Support the sales department in technical proposals and client meetings.
18. Gather customer feedback by customer satisfaction using FPAL and client visits.
19. Participate in on-call rota.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
* Previous work experience in a similar role.
* Degree level qualification in Engineering or similar desirable.
* Mechanical/Hydraulics/Electrical/PLC/Back deck/Offshore operational background.
* Experience in Project Management.
* IT Skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project.
* Self-motivated with excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
* Experience with back deck and mechanical handling equipment.
* Experience in review of specifications, preparing workpacks, plans, and managing modifications.
* Experience in FAT, mobilization/demobilization of equipment for offshore/overseas.
* Previous experience of working offshore is highly desirable.
