Interim Group Financial ControllerRate: Equivalent to salary Circa £70,000Location: Ashbourne (Head Office-based)Contract Type: Interim / Fixed-Term 3-6 MonthsAn established and growing multi-entity business is seeking an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to lead its finance function during a key period of operational and strategic development.This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a technically strong finance professional who can combine robust financial control with commercial insight and team leadership.The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, strengthening controls, and supporting senior leadership with high-quality financial analysis and decision-making support.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the finance team, driving performance, development, and accountabilityOversee month-end and year-end close processes across the groupEnsure accurate and timely production of management accounts and financial reportingMaintain and improve financial controls, processes, and governance frameworksManage cash flow, balance sheet integrity, and financial risk controlsLead statutory reporting, audit preparation, and compliance activitiesAct as the key point of contact for external auditors and advisorsReview journals, reconciliations, and reporting outputs to ensure accuracyProvide financial analysis and commentary to support strategic decision-makingSupport budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planningDrive continuous improvement across finance systems and reporting processesPartner with operational and commercial stakeholders across the businessSupport business integration projects and process improvement initiatives where requiredAbout YouFully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership roleStrong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledgeExperience managing and developing finance teamsConfident working in fast-paced, multi-entity environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience improving processes, controls, and reporting efficiencyPrior interim or transformation experience would be advantageousWhats on OfferInterim rate aligned with salary circa £70,000Opportunity to join a well-established and evolving organisationSenior leadership exposure and influenceVaried and commercially focused roleSupportive and collaborative working environmentOpportunity for temp - perm if interestedFor a confidential discussion or to express interest, please apply with an updated CV.TPBN1_UKTJ
