We are currently recruiting an experienced MET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician) to join our Derby bodyshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled vehicle technician / strip fitter / panel technician to work with cutting-edge tools and manufacturer-approved repair methods.
Key Responsibilities
14. Carry out vehicle dismantling and reassembly (strip & fit) to manufacturer standards
15. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
16. Ensure all repairs meet BSAU, manufacturer, and insurance standards
17. Work collaboratively with panel beaters, paint technicians, and estimators
18. Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant workshop environment
Requirements
19. Proven experience as an MET Technician / Vehicle Technician / Strip Fitter
20. Background in accident repair / bodyshop environments
21. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and trim systems
22. ATA accreditation (preferred but not essential)
23. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
