Up to 4 sessions perweek - £10K per session

We are looking for a newly qualified GeneralPractitioner to work across our member practices of Harthill PCN located in East Riding of Yorkshire. This is a great opportunity to gain valuableexperience in different practices and teams - a chance for you to get to knowmore about our neighbourhood and position yourself to take best advantage ofthe future opportunities of new national contracts due in 2026 and 2027.

This role is under the NewlyQualified Salaried GP Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). To beeligible for this role you must be within two years of certificate ofcompletion of training at the start date of employment and have not previouslyheld a substantive post as a General Practitioner.


Main duties of the job

The post holder willwork as an autonomous practitioner - responsible for the provision of medicalservices to the PCN population - delivering an excellent standard of clinicalcare whilst complying with the PCN and GMS contracts.


About us

Harthill Primary Care Network (PCN) is anetwork of three NHS GP Practices in the Haltemprice area of the East Riding ofYorkshire which includes practices in Willerby, Anlaby and North Ferriby.

We are one of seven PCNs across the EastRiding and cover a registered population of around 18,000 patients across asemi-rural area. While we have areas on our patch which are among the 10% leastdeprived, we have pockets of deprivation and challenges to the prevention andmanagement of long-term conditions for our population. Frailty is a significant issue; ourpopulation is older than the England average.Harthill PCN practices provide services for 330 care home beds with thesupport of our existing ARRS and practice colleagues.

Job responsibilities

Job Purpose

As aNewly Qualified Salaried GP underthe Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme - ARRS - this post holder will work collaboratively across Harthill PCN to play acrucial role in clinical governance building capacity and capability and providingresolution and critical thinking to some challenging patient diagnosis orissues.

Job Summary

Whileoperating as a NewlyQualified Salaried GP - ARRS - you will work as an autonomous practitioner responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the PCNand GMS contracts.

Key Areasof Responsibility

As a salaried GP your will play a crucial role in the provision of primary healthcare services

Undertake surgeryconsultations including

* face-to-face
* online
* telephone

Delivery of EnhancedAccess Appointments and same day access

The delivery ofhighly effective medical care to our population

Work with patients tosupport compliance with and adherence to prescribed treatments

The provision ofservices commensurate with the primary care contract

Generic prescribingadhering to local and national guidance

Effective managementof long-term conditions

Support patients toadopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles and applyprinciples of self-care.

Support and manage health needs of patients presentingfor family planning or sexual health consultations

Processing ofadministration in a timely manner including

* referrals
* repeat prescriptionrequests
* other associated administrative tasks

On a rotationalbasis undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles

Maintain accurateclinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance

Workingcollaboratively accepting an equal share of the PCN workload

Adhere to bestpractice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process

Contribute to thesuccessful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiativeswithin the PCN

Accept delegatedresponsibility for a specific area or areas

Attend and contributeeffectively to PCN and practice meetings as required

Ensure compliancewith the appraisal process

Prepare and completethe revalidation process

RiskManagement and Quality Assurance

Ensure robust clinical governance is in placefor your practice which includes regular audit and evaluation, supervision andCPD.

Managementof workload and personal development

Act on own initiative in prioritising and managingworkload delegating tasks appropriately and referring to designated MDT/BoardMembers in respect of clinical managerial and administrative areas asnecessary.

Maintain own personal and professional development asagreed at your annual review.

Qualifications

* Newly Qualified GP within 2 years of completion of certificate of training


Knowledge and skills

* Has a detailed knowledge and understanding in practice of applying Caldicott Principles, Data Protection Act 2018 and appropriately protects an individuals personal data, disclosing where appropriate only
* To deliver outcomes based on set targets
* Liaise with other colleagues to promote the success of the PCN and its Partner organisations in primary care
* Work to perpetuate a culture that is transparent and open
* A good listener who demonstrates empathy
* Communicate effectively in a calm and timely manner, respecting the views, autonomy and culture of others
* Demonstrates a professional approach including emotional intelligence and resilience.
* Effectively manages more challenging communication including sharing difficult to hear information and making this understandable
* Highly skilled at influencing in an evidence base way, not telling, engaging
* Awareness of and has well-developed IT skills to facilitate quick and confident learning of new systems to support the management of patients in a primary care setting (including Microsoft packages)
