* Effectively managing relationships with suppliers and with internal operations colleagues to ensure the objectives of the research are met and on budget
* Making suggestions for more efficient or effective approaches
* Drafting questionnaires (and potentially discussion guides) that meet clients’ and stakeholders’ objectives
* Drafting fieldwork materials such as invitation letters and interviewer instructions
* Drafting data specifications and checking data files
* Analysing large datasets and applying appropriate statistical tests
* Preparing data outputs including the creation of new variables within SPSS

What do I need to bring with me:

* Good quantitative social research skills, and ability to comfortably pick up projects and deliver day-to-day
* Excellent attention to detail, organised, and solutions-focused
* Good project and budget management skills
* Time management skills, working across multiple projects, prioritising tasks efficiently
* Ability to work to tight and demanding deadlines to deliver profitable work and assure quality of all outputs
* Experience in writing questionnaires and fieldwork materials
* Proficiency in Excel, SPSS and other packages
* Ability to understand and work with complex datasets

Our client has won a lot of new government projects and have multiple roles across their public and social research team - some quant, some qual and some mixed methods. In areas such as crime, environment, public comms, transport, trade and health and social care, so if this particular role is not quite right for you, please still get in touch and we can share full details of the most relevant roles for you
