We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy Community Protection Service. The Antisocial Behaviour Investigator role contributes to the effective delivery of the Community Safety Team by supporting the Team Leader and colleagues in operational activities. The role involves investigating and controlling matters related to community safety and antisocial behaviour to meet service needs, standards, and performance targets.
You will support the delivery of high-quality, responsive, customer-focused services to the public and communities of East Dunbartonshire. This includes coordinating investigations of complaints related to antisocial behaviour across all housing tenures, including owner/occupiers and private sector tenants, and conducting investigations involving tenants of Registered Social Landlords. You will also provide advice and support to Housing Officers.
Your responsibilities include liaising, coordinating incidents and investigations, preparing cases, and providing responses regarding antisocial behaviour. This involves home visits, interviews, evidence collection, witness statements, and taking appropriate action, including preparing cases for legal proceedings or court attendance if necessary.
PVG / Disclosure Scotland
This role requires PVG/Disclosure checks as an essential criterion. Successful candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment confirmation. The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary payment, with possible installment options and deductions from final salary if the employee leaves early.
This requirement applies to both new applicants and existing employees applying for roles requiring a PVG/Disclosure check.
