Bank Staff Nurse - Chemotherapy Day Case Unit, The Christie Private Care, Manchester. Bank. Shifts: Monday to Friday (8-6/9-7). Rate: £18.45 - £25.63 dependent on shift.
We’re looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Chemotherapy Day Case Unit on the bank at The Christie Private Care, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. HCA Healthcare UK has developed a dedicated private centre in partnership with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester. The Christie Private Care treats private patients with a full range of diagnostic, inpatient, surgical, day case and outpatient treatment all on one site.
Responsibilities
The Oncology Inpatient Unit enables nurses to deliver high standards of holistic care to patients with cancer, and each member of the team has specific expertise in treating and supporting patients through their cancer diagnosis, treatment and beyond. We individualise care to the need of each patient, providing full treatment plans from diagnostic assessments to surgery, chemotherapy and anti-cancer drug therapies, radiotherapy and supportive care. As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting the experienced nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care to ensure that patients are cared for in a safe, caring and comfortable environment. This will include meeting their medical, physical and emotional needs by effectively communicating with the patient and their families. We are looking for an experienced staff nurse to work within our chemo day case ward. We understand that cancer care is a challenging field and our friendly team work closely together to adopt a supportive culture. The experienced nursing team and Clinical Practice Facilitator (CPF) will work with you to ensure that you have the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional care in a supportive environment that values your wellbeing.
