Role purpose To provide high-quality, child-centred social work practice and professional leadership within the Family Adolescent Team. You will support adolescents and their families where young people are at risk of significant harm, lead on complex cases, embed contextual safeguarding approaches, and support the development of social workers to improve outcomes for adolescents. What you will do Manage a complex caseload of adolescents and families, addressing risks such as exploitation, serious youth violence, and missing-from-home episodes. Lead on complex assessments, risk analysis, and intervention planning using a contextual safeguarding framework. Provide practice guidance, mentoring, and case consultation to support and develop social workers within the team. Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including police, youth justice, education, and health services to ensure coordinated responses to adolescent risk. Contribute to Public Law Outline (PLO) processes and care proceedings, supporting legal planning and court preparation. Assist the Team Manager with staff induction, learning, and development initiatives to maintain high standards of practice and performance. Ensure high-quality, timely case recording in line with statutory requirements and local policies.
