Danos have been exclusively mandated for a junior legal counsel to join a long standing client of ours. The client are an alternative credit fund and are looking to hire a 1–2 PQE solicitor to join its lean in-house legal team. This is a rare and unique opportunity to gain broad exposure within a fast-paced alternative investment environment while working closely with senior stakeholders. Reporting directly into the General Counsel, the successful candidate will take on a generalist legal role, supporting the business across a wide range of matters and developing quickly within a small, collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day legal support across the fund’s operations
* Support the legal aspects of the fund’s investment and lending activities, from initial structuring through to execution
* Assist with matters relating to fund operations, investor arrangements, and ongoing governance
* Review, draft, and negotiate a range of commercial and fund-related documentation
* Act as a legal partner to internal teams, providing practical, commercial advice
* Support the General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel on ad hoc legal and strategic projects
Your Profile
* Qualified solicitor with 1–2 years’ PQE
* In-house experience is highly desirable, though not essential
* Keen Interest in funds, credit, or alternative investments
* Comfortable operating in a small, high-responsibility environment
* Strong generalist mindset with a willingness to get involved across multiple areas
* Commercial, pragmatic, and keen to learn
