Job Description We are seeking a motivated and skilled Children’s Social Worker to join our busy Children & Families Team in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, based within the newly developed Ellon Family Centre. This modern, community-focused environment supports integrated, relationship-based practice. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality statutory social work in line with GIRFEC, child protection legislation and The Promise, while contributing to a forward-thinking service that prioritises early intervention, partnership working and community connection. You will work within current Aberdeenshire Council policies and procedures, building effective partnerships with children, families and multi-agency partners. You will manage a varied caseload, including child protection, looked after children and early intervention work, and demonstrate strong assessment, analytical and communication skills, alongside the ability to build meaningful relationships. The role may include opportunities to contribute to working groups and occasional out-of-authority travel. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
