Operative - Weymouth
As an operative, you will report into the Contract Supervisor. The senior team leader will manage the day-to-day operation of the contract, working with the Contract Supervisor to ensure successful delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
* Liaising with your line manager to ensure the team has the resources required to fulfill their tasks.
* Collaborating with your line manager on staffing requirements through reports and planning.
* Participating in the interviewing and recruitment of new employees, following company procedures and ensuring contract compliance.
* Monitoring and approving operative holidays.
* Producing work programmes and assisting with service delivery, maintaining administrative records.
* Prioritizing team workload.
* Monitoring vehicle and machinery maintenance and efficiency.
* Issuing notices for rectification and improvements, ensuring team understanding.
Additional responsibilities:
* Communicating with customers, your line manager, and suppliers regarding work and staffing issues.
* Monitoring work quality in line with inspection and quality standards.
* Recommending service improvements.
* Completing workforce timesheets and providing service quotations.
* Supporting environmental standards and compliance with ISO 14001:1996.
* Undertaking any other reasonable duties.
Health and Safety:
* Adhering to the Health and Safety at Work Act and company policies.
* Carrying out instructions and maintaining safety standards for yourself and others.
* Completing necessary health and safety training before work begins.
* Reporting unsafe equipment and ensuring machinery is maintained and used correctly.
Qualifications:
* Horticultural qualification or relevant experience.
* Practical qualifications such as chainsaw or pesticide certification.
* CSCS card.
