This is an opportunity to lead the delivery of a multi million pound infrastructure project that will install electric vehicle charging points across the Borough.
You will be involved in the procurement of suppliers and take a supported role in contract management. Away from the administration and management of the scheme, you will help to deliver the EV strategy and move it to the next phase of delivery. You will help the team to embed EV infrastructure provision across other service areas within the Council and liaise with external stakeholders.
Working with closely with the teams across the Council, you will use your project management experience of delivering large scale and complex contracts to manage the installation and operation contract between the chosen Charge Point Operator and the Council. You will also lead on monitoring and reporting to elected members and to the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles as part of Bedford Borough Council's duties and responsibilities under the LEVI scheme.
The role provides the chance to develop and lead a team dedicated to EV provision in Bedford Borough under the Drive Electric Bedford Borough brand. This will provide opportunities for awareness raising, engaging with the public and other local strategic stakeholders.
