Position Overview
Full‑time, Permanent – York – Salary: £39,906 to £48,822 per annum – Closing Date: Thursday 04 June 2026 at midnight.
Responsibilities
* Deliver teaching, learning, and assessment across the MSc pre‑registration Operating Department Practice programme.
* Supervise dissertations at MSc level.
* Work with stakeholders across the region to support the new programme.
* Support and assess pre‑registration learners in perioperative practice.
* Maintain a research active role or develop an interest in becoming research active in the subject specialism.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered with HCPC as an ODP or registered with the NMC as a Nurse with up‑to‑date professional registration.
* Minimum level 6 qualification; either hold an MSc or be prepared to undertake one.
* Experience in all areas of perioperative practice, including supporting and assessing learners.
* For nurses: specific experience working in perioperative practice and evidence of CPD and relevant training.
* Ability to supervise dissertations at MSc level.
* Interest or active engagement in research.
