Job Role
We are now looking for a Material Handler to safely and efficiently operate various types of material handling equipment (counterbalance, reach and electric pallet truck) and utilise the Stock Control System to transfer, store, pick and load finished goods as part of the Packhall Warehouse team.
Your Responsibilities
* Responsible for personal safety and that of others working nearby.
* Operate material handling equipment to transfer, store, pick, and load finished goods and other materials.
* Perform and record routine daily checks on equipment; report faults to supervisor.
* Use Stock Control System via truck-mounted tablet or PC to receive tasks, input data, and fulfill duties.
* Label finished products and complete relevant documentation accurately and promptly.
* Carry out vehicle hygiene checks and preloading inspections.
* Maintain cleanliness and GMP standards suitable for a food manufacturing environment.
* Participate in routine and ad-hoc stock takes.
* Charge batteries and change procedures as needed.
* Communicate effectively across shifts and departments.
* Contribute to Performance Excellence activities.
Your Profile
* Valid Counterbalance and Reach truck licenses.
* Educated to GCSE or equivalent.
* Basic Math & English skills.
* Proficient with IT equipment for routine tasks.
* Strong teamworking and communication skills.
* Experience in manufacturing beneficial but not essential.
