Head of Development Finance & Analysis, CLARION HOUSING GROUP LIMITED

Salary: £87,465 – £104,902 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Development Finance and Analysis to join our team in Manchester. You will lead finance responsibility for major new and existing investment opportunities, providing end‑to‑end transaction support with a focus on the North region. You will pro‑actively support the Deputy Development Finance Director in providing high‑level advice and strategic guidance to Group and subsidiary Boards and the Investment Committee on all matters of development finance and investment, deputising for the Deputy Development Finance Director as required. You will also be responsible for managing a Regional Senior Development Finance Analyst and potentially, on a matrix basis, other finance and development staff. Accurate portfolio and programme reporting and forecasting are essential to this role.
You will liaise with external advisors and colleagues in Development, Treasury, Tax, Company Secretariat, Legal and Finance to ensure major projects are appropriately structured, the impact on the Group’s financial position is fully understood and the appropriate accounting impacts are recorded and monitored.
It is essential that you are a CCAB or equivalent qualified accountant with proven experience in property‑based investment finance and a thorough understanding of the market and relevant accounting standards. You must also have demonstrable experience in the financial modelling of complex multi‑tenure schemes and a strong understanding of housing.
