The ONE Group are working with a very friendly Cambridge based company to recruit for an Equipment Engineer. They require someone to provide hands-on support to ensure their equipment operates reliably and safely.
This is a hands-on position where you will be the main contact for laboratory and cleanroom equipment ensuring that this operates reliably, efficiently & safely.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
* Respond efficiently to breakdowns
* Schedule and carry out PPM
* Regular equipment inspections & test
* Maintain documentation & records
* Continuous improvement
* Liaise with external contractors
* Keep essential spares well stocked and re-order when needed
* Occasional site and building maintenance and repair
What do we need from you?:
* Ideally a recognised electrical/mechanical qualification
* Significant experience working in equipment engineering in a manufacturing / industrial environment
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls
* Knowledge of automation and control systems
* PLC programming
* Able to diagnose faults
* Experience in the design, development, and improvement of equipment systems
* Experience with CAD software
* IT proficient
* Experience working in a lab/cleanroom would be highly desirable
