Salary: A GBP 22,680 - GBP 25,742 per annum / GBP 12.46 - GBP 14.14 per hour (Pay review pending)
Hours: Full-time, average 35 hours per week on a rota, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays

The Royal Agricultural University is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Administrator to join our team and be the welcoming face of our University and conference receptions.
The Role
1. First Point of Contact: Greet visitors and callers warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed and directed appropriately.
2. Reception Duties: Handle general reception tasks, manage the reception email account, and assist with queries from staff, students, customers, and contractors.
3. Security Monitoring: Manage security systems, including CCTV, burglar alarms, and fire alarms, and coordinate emergency procedures.
4. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, monitor first aid supplies, and report incidents.
5. Facilities Management: Work with the Estates and IT Team to manage car parking and access control.
6. Mail Handling: Sort and distribute incoming mail, and prepare outgoing mail and courier services.
7. Event Support: Assist with Bed and Breakfast and conference reservations, and act as the point of contact for internet instructions and charges.
8. Administrative Tasks: Process maintenance requests, arrange transport, manage lost property, and conduct site tours.
9. Team Collaboration: Work flexibly to cover team absences and support the Customer Services Team Leader as needed.
Skills And Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have a good standard of general education to GCSE level (including numeracy and literacy)
2. Possess excellent telephone manner and communication skills at all levels
3. Have a strong customer service orientation with demonstrable skills
4. Be computer literate, particularly with MS packages
5. Have the ability to work independently and solve problems resourcefully
6. Be willing to obtain a Shot Gun licence for handling and storing student guns (with training and application support provided by the University)
